Chief Secretary Rakesh Sharma said on Wednesday that they have instructed DMs and police heads of three districts-Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri- to be vigilant during PM’s September 11 Uttarakhand visit. “PM is supposed to reach Sarsawa from Chandigarh and later, he will fly to IDPl from Sarsawa via helicopter on his way to Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh,” he said.
As per the protocol, the Governor and the Chief Minister are likely to receive the PM at IDPl. They may even accompany him to the Ashram, he said.
As IDPl is in Dehradun district the Ashram is located in Tehri district and the other side of the river is in Pauri district, he said, adding that this is the reason why the administrative and police heads of the three districts must be alert.
“Besides, we are in touch with the SPG as it is looking after the security of President and PM when they visit states,” CS added.
