District magistrate Pauri Sushil Kumar pulled up the block development officers of Ekeshwar and Rikhinikhal blocks for not providing accurate information about the ongoing development works and asked the chief development officer to withhold the salary of both on this count while monitoring the MGNREGA work of different departments in Pauri on Monday. The visibly annoyed DM even asked all the BDOs to come to the meeting to be held after 10 days with full preparation.
After taking stock of the sanitation (sawchchlaya) works going on in the blocks, Sushil Kumar instructed the officers concerned to complete things in a week and asked them to clear dues for the works now completed.
He also asked the officers concerned to bring pace in the execution of the Prime Minister Aawas Yojana and asked for the submission of the list containing the completed and ongoing works. While taking stock of the works done by the horticulture and agriculture department, DM asked all concerned to take cluster farming to every nook and corner of the district.
Among those present at the meeting were the chief development officer Ravneet Chimma, DDO Ved kumar, CAO Devendra Rana, project director SS Sharma and DPRO MM Khan aside from the block development officers.
