Taking cognisance of complaints regarding dysfunctional tubewells in various parts of the district, Haridwar District Magistrate Deepak Rawat ordered withholding the salary of nodal executive engineer (tubewell) IS Fonia.
He said that the official’s salary would be release after he ensures proper functioning of the tubewells in the said areas.
The DM issued this direction while receiving complaints from the citizens at the public hearing held on Monday.
A total of 56 complaints were received on the occasion with the DM directing officials concerned to take necessary measures for resolving the complaints.
