In the review meeting of Jal Jeevan Mission, the Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Kumar Shrivastava directed the engineers of Jal Sansthan and Peyjal Nigam to speed up the work and complete works under the scheme within the stipulated time. He also instructed them to finish the work under this scheme in the suburban areas of Doiwala before the end of this year. The engineers associated with the scheme said that until now, a total 28,470 people of suburban areas of Doiwala have been provided with drinking water. They added that they have made only 37 per cent progress in the area so far but by the end of this year, every household will have drinking water supply. Shrivastava also informed that under this mission, every member of a family should be provided with 55 litres of drinking water.
