In view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s scheduled visit of Uttarakhand at Ashiyana, Rajpur Road, Dehradun on July 10, Dehradun district magistrate SA Murugeshan inspected Ashiyana on Thursday. The President is scheduled to inaugurate a new building in the Ashiyana complex during his stay in the city.
DM said that the health department officers were directed to depute emergency ambulances and medial team at Ashiyana while the Public Works Department officers were directed to coordinate with CPWD and pitch tents and complete other necessary constructions in the Ashiyana complex within the stipulated time.
Police officers were directed to strengthen security with the deployment of adequate forces inside and outside the Ashiyana campus. Nagar Nigam officers were directed to improve sanitation within and around Ashiyana campus area. The officers should do fogging and mark with lime the identified areas, DM said. Others present on the occasion were president bodyguard officer DH Dravid, additional DM Arvind Pandey, ADM (finance) Veer Singh Budiyal, SP City Pradeep Rai, municipal commissioner Ravneet Cheema, City Magistrate CA Martolia and chief medical officer Dr TC Pant.
