To ensure peaceful Assembly election, Dehradun district magistrate Ravinath Raman assigned various works to the district officers on Monday.
He directed the district officers to ensure that election commission of India’s guidelines about the Assembly elections are implemented strictly in their jurisdictional limits.
In order to complete things according to the time frame, the chief development officer, additional DM (finance and revenue), additional DM (administration) and deputy election officers have been assigned the task of monitoring the election- related works being done by the nodal officers or in-charge officers. DM directed the election observers to provide all the basic facilities to the nodal officers.
He asked the nodal officers to review the progress of the election- related works with their sub-ordinates from time to time to ensure that the works are completed as per the schedule. The district officers were also directed to submit progress reports to the district election office or the DM office from time to time.
