However, the bodies are yet to be traced and the rescue operation would continue on Tuesday, said Devprayag Police Station in-charge inspector Hamant Khanduri while talking to The Pioneer.
Tehri Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukhtar Mohsin said that teams have been conducting rescue operations round the clock since Sunday morning when the incident happened.
The accident occurred on Sunday when the Bolero carrying three people plunged into the swollen Alaknanda. Some locals in the morning found a part of the protective wall broken near Mollya village on Devprayag-Srinagar route. They also noticed a spare wheel of a SUV near the river and informed local police.
The local police rushed and recovered a travel bag, mobile phones and two wallets. The team also noticed blood stains over some stones near the river.
SP Mohsin said that the deceased were identified through the identity cards recovered. It was learnt that Rahul Sisodia, Ashutosh Sharma and Shashi Kant worked in private company Gurgaon and left home on August 7. The trio reportedly visited Badrinath shrine before being swept away by the river.
