Additional DGP (administration) and State police spokesperson Ram Singh Meena said that to bring efficiency in the police department, district police chiefs have been assigned works in accordance with the problems the people of the district have been facing.
He said thefts, road mishaps and drug menace are the areas the state police top brass is really worried about. Besides, the traffic situation must improve a lot with the tourist season peaking, he said.
The district police chiefs of the mountainous districts have been directed to take measures to take on disaster if it happens and to facilitate the pilgrims or the tourists.
Police headquarters would provide all possible assistance to the districts to help them rise to the challenge of the assigned task effectively, he added.
