The Doon International School that ranks as the top CBSE day and residential school of the State since it  came up in 1993 will be officially launching its boarding and day-boarding school at Paundha in Dehradun on December 13.

The Doon International School riverside campus is a little away from the hubbub of the  main city, nearly 15 kms from the Clock Tower in Dehradun. It is a sprawling campus spread over 30 acre  of land. The campus while hosting international standards of infrastructure, academic and sports facilities offers a unique blend of curricula that encompasses every aspect required for the multifaceted growth of a student’s personality.

Dwelling on the myriad facilities that the institution offers to its students, DS Mann, chairman of the school, informed that academic facilities include well- equipped smart classes, stem labs, experimental learning studios, ultra -modern futuristic laboratories and a specially designed innovative and contemporary curriculum. “We are leaving nothing as far as harmonious and all-inclusive growth of the students’ personalities is concerned,” he stated.

“There is an Olympic- sized field with a 400-meter track, dedicated fields for Cricket, Hockey and Football, semi-Olympic-sized swimming pool, gymnasium and Yoga centre, skating rink, deco turf courts for Tennis, Badminton and Volleyball, a 800 seating capacity amphitheatre and well-equipped hostels capable  to accommodate 175 students. Also, the swings are from Chandigarh for the tiny tots,” he said, adding that the institution is endowed with all facilities that help the development of the body and mind of the students with focus trained on inculcating in them the right moorings in consonance  with the enduring culture of the land and the spirit of moving time.

There are certain facilities for the day boarders too. “Fruits and a well- balanced nutritious lunch are provided to them. They complete all their assignments under the supervision of the dedicated and accomplished teachers,” said Sonika Mann, director, finance and administration of the institution.

The chairman of the school further said that the admissions are presently open for the session 2016 -2017 for classes from 1 to 9 and 11.
