The 90th birth anniversary of Indramani Badoni was commemorated as lok Sanskriti Diwas as directed by the State Government in Pauri.
As the chief guest of the function held here, the district magistrate Chandra Shekhar Bhatt felicitated folk artistes including Ganesh lal for his contribution in the playing of the traditional dhol, Sukru village resident Ramdas for his contribution in the playing of Masakbeen (bagpipes) along with Kotdwar resident Ramratan Kala and Saundal resident Arjun lal for their work in the sphere of cultural activities.
The felicitated folk artistes were presented a shawl, commendation letter and a sum of Rs1,100 each. The district development officer Ved Prakash, culture officer GS Negi and eminent journalist GP Semwal were also among those present on the occasion.
