State DGP MA Ganapathy said, while inaugurating a petrol pump in the Police lines, that the commissions received through sale of fuel at Shaktimaan petrol pump that came up in memory of the State police horse Shaktimaan would be used for police welfare. “Such pumps are being set up in the Police lines to sell fuel to the people at the right price and also in the correct measure,” he said.
DGP also laid the foundation of the third- floor building of Police Modern School. “High profile schools exacting huge tuition fees and admission fees, police personnel not getting a very high salary are finding it difficult to have their kids enrolled. Steps are being taken to provide quality education in this school,” he said. DGP also inaugurated Police Gas Agency at police lines to facilitate the policemen to procure cylinders easily.
