'Desperate for power, Rawat has started off even before trust vote'

Published on:

Seemingly taking time to digest the strongly worded  High Court ruling  against the Centre over the imposition of President’s Rule  under

Article 356 of  the Constitution delivered on Thursday, State BJP chief Ajay Bhatt said that he  was yet to study the order.

“I would clear my stance only after I study a copy  of the High Court order. Thereafter, we would chalk out  our future strategy,” he said.

Bhatt also warned the  ex- CM Harish Rawat, saying that the long-standing and

facts-based charges of his actively conniving  with the mafias -  mining, liquor and land mafias - are still there.

“They are desperate to be in power which is why they have started  calling the shots through dictating terms

to the officers before going through the order thorougly.

The Cabinet meeting was convened in tearing haste.

An officers’ meeting was called too  at Bijapur on Friday morning. Harish Rawat had better wait for the floor test  slated on   April 29,” Bhatt said.
