The Agriculture depatment has exonerated Jagdish Chandra Khulbe, officer on special duty in the Chief Minister’s office, of charges levelled against him for his work during his past tenure as the in charge Agriculture and Land Conservation officer, Chakrata in Dehradun district.
It will be recalled that Khulbe was accused of anomalies involving public money amounting to Rs 70 lakh, which was meant for a Central Government scheme.
It was alleged that during his past term, Khulbe had misappropriated funds under the Integrated Watershed Management Programme of the Central Government.
However, in the order signed by Agriculture director Gauri Shankar last month, it has been stated that following the issuance of seven charges against him and the departmental inquiry, Khulbe had provided satisfactory replies with evidence to prove that he had not indulged in any anomalies.
The director expressed satisfaction at the replies provided by the accused officer, report of the inquiry officer along with the evidence and documents provided.
Considering this, the Agriculture director took a final decision on the charges levelled against Khulbe, exonerating him of the charges and ending the process of disciplinary action against him.
