A delegation of Uttarakhand State Employees Joint Council met the Chief Secretary (CS) Shatrughna Singh on Monday and demanded that the State Government should remove the discrepancies of the sixth pay commission before implementing the recommendation of the seventh pay commission.

The delegation was led by the President of the council, Thakur Prahalad Singh. The delegation told the CS that the state government had constituted a committee to look into the disparities in salaries of employees but the committee is yet to meet the representatives of the employee unions on the issue.

The delegation told the CS that the employees would suffer financial loss in case the recommendation of pay commission is implemented without rectifying the anomalies of the previous one. The CS assured that a meeting of the employees with the president of the committee Indu Kumar Pandey would be soon organized.

The delegation members also told the CS that state government is yet to release Government Order (GO) on the decision to extend benefit of U- health cards for all the employees. The employee leaders alleged that the office of DG health does not have the basic infrastructure for the U health card scheme.

The CS told the delegation the state government has taken a policy decision to implement U health card scheme for the government employees and the GO for it would be issued soon.
