Reacting sharply to Chief Minister Harish Rawat slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah daily, State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said that the CM is taking recourse to such diatribes out of frustration. Defeat staring him in the face, CM had been trading absurd charges against the duo, knowing full well that the days of his Government were numbered, said Bhatt in a press release issued by the Opposition party on Wednesday.
“The way the CM Rawat is resorting to unconstitutional language to abuse the PM and my party president shows that he is a frustrated man. The massive response the Parivartan Yatra is evoking across the state makes it crystal clear which way the wind is blowing. The yatra informing the people of the loot the Harish Rawat government is indulging in has left the CM on edge,” Bhatt said.
He stressed that the anti-Rawat momentum is further gaining after the yatra has started crisscrossing the hills. “The people of the hills unusually turning up in large number in the night hours to hear the speakers is enthusing for us. This stands in sharp contrast to the lack luster campaigning the ruling party has been doing despite the official machinery being fully exploited,” he said.
Tearing further into the CM, he said that the latter is demeaning the chair he is holding by such slanderous campaign while the leaders targeted are unscathed. “We demand the CM seek an apology for stooping so low,” Bhatt said.
