Decks are clear for admission in second batch of the nascent Government Doon Medical College (GDMC). On Monday, the apex body of medical education, the Medical Council of India (MCI) recommended to the Union Government to renew the permission for admission for second batch in the college.
The MCI based its recommendation on compliance verification of April 27 and previous assessment reports of March 28 and December 21 and 22, 2016 and the undertaking submitted by the secretary medical education dated April 28, 2017. The Principal of GDMC, Dr Pradip Bharati Gupta expressed happiness on the development and attributed it to the hard work of staff members and other employees of the college.
