The DAV (PG) College will begin sale of admission prospectus on July 15 and will release the merit list for admission in various degree courses. The college principal, Dr Devendra Bhasin said that the admission prospectus will be available from July 15 and classes will begin in the second week of August.

The DAV (PG) College which would have generally remained abuzz with new students and admission related activities at this time, bore a deserted look on Tuesday due to the delay in admission process and student leaders' involvement in Panchayat elections.

Following HNB Garhwal Central University registrar’s direction to the DAV (PG) College to enroll only the sanctioned number of students from this academic session, around 12000 students will be allowed to enroll in the college though last year about 30, 000 had secured admission in the college.

Following this order, the college has decided to select the students on merit basis and for this the merit list for various degree courses will be released after students submit the admission forms.

Bhasin said that the sale of prospectus for law entrance test, self finance courses like MA Mass Communication, one year diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, BSc (IT) (three years) and MA (Shiksha Shastra) (two years) will also begin from July 15.

Bhasin said that all the subjects at bachelor and post -graduate levels are available in the college. The llB entrance form will be available from first week of July 15 and its entrance exams will be held in the second week of August, he added.
