The President of the student union of the college, Rakesh Negi said that the 18 new rooms have been constructed in the college campus so there is an adequate space for increasing the input of admissions into the college.

He said that repeated pleas of the students for increasing the number of seats have fallen on deaf ears and the management is not keen to solve the problems of the students. The agitated students said that they would not tolerate a system where many seats in the college remained vacant as last year and demanded that a proper process should be set in place to prevent repletion of last year’s errors.

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) however distanced itself from the act of closing the college. NSUI leader Ayush Gupta said that they support the demand to increase seats but are opposed to locking the college.
