Scores of students led by DAV (PG) College students’ union general secretary and Aryan Group leader Sachin Thapliyal met the State Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Thursday evening and demanded police station be established at Narayan Bagad area where a minor was allegedly raped and murdered by an expelled policeman and resident of Kimoli, Chamoli district Virendra lal. Thapliyal informed the CM that the incident had left all from the state in shame. He further said that despite three crime cases having been reported in recent past in Narayan Bagar area, all the accused are at large. No effective policing is being done by the revenue police in the area, he told CM.
