A team from the Central Bureau of Investigation, Dehradun branch arrested AK Mishra, assistant director of Uttarakhand Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Intelligence) on Friday evening while he was in the act of accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from the complainant AK Yadav, who is a resident of Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Mishra had reportedly sought bribe amounting to Rs 10 lakh from Yadav in lieu of settlement of a service tax issue.
Yadav is involved in the operation of a manpower enterprise.
