A tiger cub found injured in an attack by another tiger on Tuesday in the Corbett tiger reserve died while undergoing treatment at Ranibagh. The carcass was destroyed after a post mortem examination was conducted in the presence of forest department officials.
It should be mentioned here that on Tuesday, an injured tiger cub about one year old had been rescued by the Corbett authorities and sent to the Ranibagh rescue centre for treatment.
The Corbett tiger reserve deputy director Amit Verma informed that the exact cause of death will be known after the post mortem report is received.
