The counting of votes which is in progress in the 89 blocks of the State for three-tier Panchayat elections would decide the fate of 34,395 Member Village Panchayats, 7,633 Village Pradhans, 3,054 Member Block Panchayat and 389 Member District Panchayats of 89 blocks of 12 districts of State barring Haridwar which went to the polls.
The voting was held in three phases in these blocks on June 18, 21 and 24 to elect 47,140 positions of Member of Village Panchayat, 7,389 Pradhans, 3,060 Member of Block Panchayat and 367 Members of District Panchayat.
