Dehradun police are yet to identity three culprits who had allegedly entered the office of Congress leader Suryakant Dhasmana on EC Road and fled with cash and jewellery on Sunday.
However, a Dalanwala police station officer Yashpal Singh Bisht said that they got an important lead following which teams have been formed to work on the lead.
In the written complaint, a complainant, Dharmendra Prasad, stated that three unidentified persons with covered faces entered the office, held two persons hostage and decamped with cash and jewelleries.
After the complaint was lodged a case under Sections-392/398/506/34 of IPC was registered against unidentified persons in Dalanwala police station. SI Mahaveer Singh is investigating the case, police said.
