A day after the Holi festival was celebrated, the policemen in the State capital celebrated the same with their colleagues at their respective offices on Saturday. At Garhwal DIG office, IG/DIG Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal, SP City Ajay Singh, SP Traffic Pradeep Kumar Rai, SP Rural Manikant Mishra, CO SK Singh, several police station in-charges and other policemen were seen taking part in the revelry. They were witnessed smearing one another with colours or gulals. Some of them were also found dancing to the beat of drums in the campus.
At SSP camp office and other police stations, policemen were also witnessed celebrating Holi by smearing one another with colours or gulals and dancing to the beat of drums. Unlike previous years, policemen were deputed at various crossings to keep traffic in order in the city. However, significantly, Holi Hurdang which earned notoriety with police flouting norms while getting over-exuberant was not seen this year. They exercised restraint and this is what the law-enforcers should do, said an observer.
