Dehradun police facing flak for their failure to control the rising number of thefts, chain snatchings and other crimes, the cops have resorted to social media in the hope of achieving something. It is learnt that police are all set to make a what’s app group with the businessmen being roped in. Once the businessmen share the information of thefts and the like with the police the cops would swing into action. Such information will be disseminated to all the police stations to have the accused apprehended at the earliest.
Notably, Garhwal Range deputy inspector general of police Pushpak Jyoti while meeting the range police officers recently expressed disappointment over rising number of thefts and chain snatching incidents in the state capital and other districts under the range and directed them to take measures to check them effectively.
