All the police stations in-charge were directed to register the complaints of the aggrieved persons in their respective police stations and ensure redressal of such complaints without delay. Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Kewal Khurana issued this instruction while chairing a meeting with police officers on Friday. Khurana directed the officers to take steps to facilitate convenience of pilgrims during Char Dham Yatra season.

Khurana said, "In order to review the crime cases in the district, I called a meeting of police officers comprising superintendent of police, circle officers, inspectors and police stations in-charge on Friday.”

He reviewed the complaints received in the women’s helpline, senior citizen cell, women protection cell, women cyber cell and others with police officers and directed them to take steps for resolving received complaints.

He further said that aggrieved persons approach him directly for redressal of their grievances because their concerns are not heard in the police station concerned.

The officers need to register the complaints of those persons who approach the police station during day or night hours for the redressal of their grievances. Necessary action should be taken by the police, he stressed.

All the police stations in-charge were directed to deploy cops at nearby crossings for resolving traffic congestion.

The police officers need to take steps for sorting out those cases which are pending in the department for the last many months. In order to control crimes, the police officers need to intensify patrolling in the area under their jurisdiction. “Action will be taken against the police offers who found negligent towards their duties, he warned.
