The Congress will fully support the call for Dehradun bandh given by bullion traders and jewellers on Monday, said the Congress Mahanagar chief Prithviraj Singh Chauhan.
He said, “The BJP-led NDA Government which calls itself business-friendly has not turned out to be so with various decisions being taken to the detriment of various sectors including bullion trade and jewellery.”
The jewelers association district head Pankaj Meson thanked Chauhan for extending support to the fraternity. He also said that the association had also sought the support of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Samajwadi Party and hoteliers association among others to ensure that the bandh on Monday is successful in conveying the message.
