Congress shying away from debate: Kaushik

Published on:

The parliamentary affairs minister, Madan Kaushik accused the Congress party for running away from debate on the issue of Char Dham shrine board in the Assembly.

Talking to the media persons outside the assembly, he said that it appears that the Congress MLAs were shocked by the statement of their leader (read Harish Rawat) in which he had expressed dissatisfaction on the performance of Congress MLAs in assembly and in an attempt to prove themselves they are now creating furore in the Assembly.

He said that the copies of the Char Dham shrine board bill have been provided to all the members and they should participate in discussion on the issue in the assembly which is the best forum for holding discussions.

The minister clarified that the Government has nothing to hide and has followed all procedure and regulations before tabling the bill in the assembly. He invited the Congress to engage in fruitful discussion on the issue.
