In a move to put wet blanket on the buzz about lack of coordination between the Government and the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Wednesday claimed better coordination between the two. He also said the party workers have always been given full respect.

The CM, while addressing the day long meeting of Congress Seva Dal workers, said, “There is better coordination between the Government and the organisation (Congress).” Bahuguna called upon the Congress Seva Dal workers to propagate public welfare schemes of the Government in remote areas of the State. He also asked them to apprise him of the various problems being faced by the residents in extremely remote places.

He further said, “Seva Dal is root of the Congress. It has always played commendable role.” The CM appealed the people to add more youths to the Seva Dal. He disclosed that training camp would be organised for the Seva Dal workers in the State.

The CM claimed the State Government was continuously taking all efforts for removing backwardness of the State. “We want to develop the State as model State with good society. We have to work to strengthen the democracy,” the CM said, adding that the efforts were needed to stop anti-democratic forces from going ahead. He reiterated that carrying out development in all areas along with all classes was his prime objective. There would be no discrimination in carrying out development.

Welcoming the suggestion by the party workers, the CM assured them of implementing them. National chief organiser of Seva Dal Mahendra Joshi and his State counterpart Ram Vilas Yadav, PCC president Yashpal Arya, Congress leader Vijay Saraswat and various other leaders expressed their opinion.
