Congress opposition to Investors’ Summit exposes its mentality, opines BJP

Published on:

The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that Congress’ opposition of the Investors Summit is a sign of its anti-development mentality. Reacting to the Congress announcement of a protest on the day of the summit’s inauguration, the BJP State media in charge Devendra Bhasin opined that this shows that the Congress mentality is basically against development and interests of Uttarakhand.

He said, “If the Congress was sensitive towards interests of Uttarakhand, it would have welcomed the prime minister and investors coming to the summit from across India and abroad. However, its announcement to hold a protest has exposed its mentality. Congress leaders have been opposing the summit since the start.

They consistently tried to maximise negative publicity in their attempt to make the summit an unsuccessful event.

Their efforts have failed as already the investment target of Rs 40,000 crore has been surpassed.

The Congress is hassled and has chosen to protest on the day when the PM is arriving to inaugurate the summit.”
