Congress calls BJP's Pardafash rally a 'filth-spilling contest'

Hitting out at the BJP over its ongoing Pardafash rally  meant to expose corruption set in the Harish Rawat Government, the Mahanagar Congress Committee president Anshul Shrikunj dubbed the rallies as ‘filth-spilling contest’.

He said, while addressing a Press conference on Friday, that the saffron leaders are engaged in a grim kind of vilification campaign, spilling filth on the State Government to malign its image ahead of the election. “The leaders seem to be competing among themselves to show mastery in the art of filth-spilling. But the people know how corrupt the BJP leaders are,” he said.

“The people are well aware  of the fact that the present lok Sabha member from Haridwar is  neck deep  in corruption,” he  said  without naming the former CM Ramesh Pokhryal  Nishank.

He also  alluded to another  leader amassing disputed wealth, meaning  Satpal Maharaj. He also hinted towards the BJP legislator Madan Kaushik, saying that  the leader had  his property multiplied in a few years.

Shrikunj asked the state  BJP to expose and cleanse the  filth accumulated within instead of going all -out  to expose the corruption in the Congress, adding that the  CM   Harish Rawat has asked the  leaders who are reluctant  to declare the details of  their property to give it to the Government to be used in collective welfare.

The Congress  leader further said that the National Flag had been thrown in the drain after the Tiranga rally led by BJP under Nishank was over.
