The State Congress vice- president Surya Kant Dhasmana has warned that his party would go for a full-blown movement in the coming days if the State Government fails to improve the health services. Talking to the media persons at the state party office here on Wednesday, the Congress leader said that over 100 ambulances of emergency 108 ambulance service remain stranded due to absence of fuel.
He also cited the recent death of a woman and her newborn baby due to negligence of doctors in the female wing of the Government Doon Medical College Hospital to buttress his point of crumbling health service in the State. “These two pictures are enough to make clear the rot that has set into the state health services.
It also shows how insensitive the Government has become to the people’s woes,’’ he said.
Dhasmana slammed the State Government over the State having no full-time Health Minister. “This is indeed tragic that despite the State having adverse geographical condition, we have no full-time Health Minister to cater to the medical needs of the people,” he said.
He warned that his party would not sit idle with the State of the health services worsening day by day. “We would soon launch a vigorous stir to ventilate the collective anger of the people over this matter,” he added.
