The national VP of BJP blamed the Congress party for delay in UlB elections in the State. He said that the State Government was fully prepared for conducting the elections on time but the Congress party took matter to the court. Jaju said that the Congress party is running away from elections. The State in charge of BJP expressed happiness at the success of the ‘ Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’. Under the programme, which started on April 14 and would end on May 5, the senior BJP leaders and cabinet ministers stayed at villages inhabited by Dalits. These leaders took stock the implementation of various social security schemes of Union Government such as Ujjawala Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Sobhaggya Yojana, Jan Dhan, Jeevan Jyoti, Jeevan Suraksha Yojana and Mission Indradhanush in the villages they stayed.

Jaju said that 116 villages were selected under the Abhiyan and claimed that the good response received by the programme would strengthen the party further. He praised the state government for making very good arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra this year which has resulted in a situation where unprecedented 1 lakh pilgrims have visited these shrines within five days.

Jaju also appreciated the scheme of the state government to promote local people to prepare and sale 'Prasads' at these shrines.
