Making its stand clear on resolving the problems confronted by the denizens of the city, Congress media committee chairman and former legislator Ambrish Kumar said the party not only rightfully demanded the BJP to give its performance report card in the past few years but also had pin-pointed its own solutions proposed to the day to day problems which the people of the city were facing.

Addressing a Press conference on Sunday, the party leader said, while BJP’s strategy from the legislator to its top brass National president had been to indulge in blame game alone, holding demonstrations and protests, the Congress had given some solutions to the serious problems of the city, on the contrary.

On water logging issues at three major areas of the city including Bhupatwala, Har Ki Pauri and central Haridwar encompassing BHEl area, a permanent solution was being sought by the state government, said Ambrish. As an immediate solution, the rain water was being collected in Govind puri area in big pit and from there released in the ganga canal through pumping facility. He said the budget had been sanctioned for the same and within a fortnight the work shall be completed. He also thanked the management of BHEl for making a water shade which collected much of rain water thus saving the city area from water logging.

He further said that the proposal made for installation of statues of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev opposite to Vivekanand Park in Haridwar last year September would seen the light of day soon since the plan made by HRDA was forwarded to commissioner, Garhwal for approval.
