On the call given by the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the Uttarakhand Congress would organise a Bharat Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao march on December 28 at Dehradun. A meeting of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) members, PCC members, block presidents, district presidents, councillors and other leaders of Dehradun district was organised at Rajiv Bhawan on Saturday.
The meeting was addressed by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh. In the meeting discussions were held on making the proposed programme in state capital, a success.
Later talking to the media persons, Pritam Singh said that a massive protest would be held in Dehradun on the Bharat Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao call given by the party president Sonia Gandhi. Launching an attack on the BJP led Government, the PCC President said that the government is determined to shift the focus of people from real issues like employment, price rise and economic slowdown to the emotional issues.
He said that communal harmony between different religions which was identity of the country is being shattered. The PCC chief claimed that the people have understood nefarious designs of the BJP and RSS. “The people have now understood that instead of talking about issues like development, unemployment and price rise the Government is misleading them.
They have now realised the real Chal and Charitra of BJP. The people of the country are now waiting for an appropriate opportunity to strike with the power of their vote,’’ he said.
The PCC president said that the power has entered into the minds of BJP leaders. The BJP leaders are of the view that they can get anything done from the parliament on the basis of majority but they now have realised the anger of people.
