The spokesperson of the state Congress Garmina Dassauni took the BJP leaders to the task for leaving the Parade Ground covered with garbage. “It proves the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan is nothing but a farce for BJP. It appears that the BJP leaders are waiting for PM Modi to clean the mess himself when he arrives in Uttarakhand later this month,’’ she said. The state BJP general secretary and deputy chairman of the 20- point programme implementation committee, Naresh Bansal who was in charge of the Amit Shah’s rally, sounded nonchalant when informed of the Parade Ground not being cleaned yet. He, however, hastened to add that the ground would be cleaned soon.
