The Bharatiya Janata Party has opined that the Parivartan Yatra of the Congress in Uttarakhand is more of an ‘Astitva Bachao Yatra’ aimed at preserving its existence. The Congress leaders are staging such “drama” to maintain their existence, opined the BJP.
The BJP State media in charge Devendra Bhasin said that the Parivartan Yatra being undertaken by the Congress in Uttarakhand is nothing more than an activity aimed at maintaining their relevance. “As in most parts of the nation, the Congress in Uttarakhand is also scattered. In such a scenario, the biggest challenge facing the Congress is ensuring its own survival.
The party in Uttarakhand is not united, it has two ‘Yatras’ underway in the state.
The Congress is scared of the BJP, which is the reason why its senior leaders are roaming around the state in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
The situation has worsened to such an extent that Congress leaders are now resorting to looking for seats for themselves even outside the state. This is evident from their statements.”
Bhasin further said that the condition of the Congress is such that it still lacks any ideas about its own programmes.
It is resorting to aping the programmes that the BJP has successfully undertaken in the past.
“The Parivartan Yatra is also an imitation of the BJP programme. Earlier, the series of Press conferences held by the Congress were also an imitation of what had been done by the BJP earlier. However, the way the Congress Press conferences flopped due to the lies of its leaders being exposed, the Parivartan Yatra will also meet with a similar fate,” he opined.
