The Congress has accused the BJP of acting irresponsibly in the Vidhan Sabha.
The Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Anshul Shree Kunj said that considering that various important Bills linked to the development of the State are pending in the Assembly, the disruption by the BJP in the Vidhan Sabha is questionable.
Responding to the ruckus raised by the BJP in the Assembly for a debate on a sting operation showing BSP MlA Sarbat Karim Ansari talking with a reporter about toppling the State Government for `50 crore, the PCC spokesman said that the BJP was disrupting the Assembly proceedings to gain cheap publicity.
“The BJP is feeling uneasy due to the popularity being gained by the State Government headed by Chief Minister Harish Rawat for major works being undertaken in education, health, disaster management, industry and tourism sectors. This is why the BJP is making issues with an aim to defame the State Government,” said Kunj.
lambasting the BJP, the PCC spokesman said that the BJP in Uttarakhand is without any valid issues to raise and its leaders are a worried lot with the BJP central leadership pulling up the State leaders of the party.
“At a time when even the BJP central leadership finds the party leaders in Uttarakhand unconvincing, the people of the State cannot be expected to trust them,” he said.
