The conference is technically sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Uttar Pradesh (UP) section and supported by the Uttarakhand Advanced Certificate in Management (ACM) Professional chapter.

The organisers claim that two-day event will provide a forum for researchers and engineers in both academia and industry to exchange the latest innovations and research advancements in Innovative Computing, and Communication and Engineering.

In his keynote address Tarek N Saadawi of City University, New York said that connected vehicles are the future of the automobile industry.

He cited the example of a robotic vehicle, a driverless car, which was driven from San Francisco to New York City on an experimental basis in 2014 in this respect. He said that probably by the year 2020, one in five cars in the United States would be driverless.
