The committee set up by the Government to identify the place for construction of Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Haldwani submitted its report to the Transport, Social welfare and minority affairs Minister Yashpal Arya on Thursday. The committee headed by Managing Director (MD) Transport has identified three places where ISBT can be set up.
These places are Global land cooperative private limited, Nova steel Kamalwa Gaza, near Forest Training Centre and near Open University Haldwani.
The Minister said that the IBST would be set up keeping in mind the long term perspective.
He directed the officers of PWD, irrigation, revenue and forest to survey the places indicated by the committee and submit reports. The transport secretary D Senthil Pandian, managing director Brijesh Sant, additional secretary H C Semwal and other officials also attended the meeting.
