Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anoop Nautiyal has challenged both Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and BJP leader Ajay Bhatt for open debate on the issue of sting video in which the former is allegedly shown engaging in horse trading of MlAs. In a letter directed to these leaders Nautiyal has blamed them for engaging in the politics of partnership in the state. He said that during the period of political instability a sting video of Harish Rawat surfaced in which he was shown alluring his MlAs. “On the sting video both of you are engaged in a slinging match of allegation and counter allegation. But the people of the state know that this is mere verbosity and politics of partnership,” he said. The AAP leader further blamed both the parties for not being serious on the issue of corruption as these parties after coming to power conveniently forget the allegation they made on their adversary.
Throwing the gauntlet, Nautiyal said that he is ready for a public debate on the issue of corruption and the sting video at any place and on any forum. Interestingly the AAP leader has given a deadline of July 13 to both CM Rawat and Ajay Bhatt to respond to his challenge.
