College building work on a snail's pace

The GDMC would be dedicated to the public on Saturday but the pace of work and quality of construction of the college building is a big cause of worry for the officials.

The proposed OPD building at the associated hospital is yet to be completed and it appears that it would take at least some months to get operational.

The roofs of the newly constructed student’s hostel building in Patel Nagar have already started leaking. The Director Medical education, Dr Ashutosh Sayana told The Pioneer that the construction agency, the Uttar Pradesh Nirman Nigam limited has been warned to get its task completed soon.

He said that the Department has taken strong exception to the incidences of leaking roofs of the newly constructed girl’s hostel and has asked the construction agency to get it repaired.

Dr Sayana claimed that the college would soon undertake a recruitment drive to fill the academic and administrative posts of the college.
