With weather department forecasting adverse weather conditions later this week, Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s Pithoragarh visit slated for February 17 and February 18 has been cancelled, said the officials concerned of the Pithoragarh district administration. Though it did not rain, cloudy conditions were there affecting normal life here on Monday.
It may be recalled that during the first week of this month, people faced rains in the plains and snowfall in the hilly areas across the state. Meanwhile, foggy conditions reducing visibility during night hours is leading to disruption in the traffic flow.
