CM's media incharge discards Tirath Singh's allegations

Chief Minister media incharge Surendra Kumar has rejected outright the State BJP president’s allegation, saying the saffron party’s State leaders should instead stage a sit-in right in front of the PM’s residence to demand fuel prices be curtailed in tune with international oil price trend. “During the Congress- led UPA regime, crude oil price kept hovering between $130 and $140. However, it was being sold in the range of Rs 70-Rs80 per litre. Currently, crude oil price is just $ 40 per barrel, but petrol and diesel are now being sold for Rs 60-70 per litre,” he said.

As per statistics, the crude oil price has now come down drastically. However, common man is not getting any reprieve. It is clear they are making the people cough up money by way of hiking excise duty to help them recover the same they spent in course of electioneering. “I appeal the Member of Parliament to desist from making baseless allegations. The CM is now busy touring Assembly constituencies to assess things on the ground. They should instead appreciate the CM’s endeavour. Sectarian brand of politics as is being now indulged in by the BJP augurs ill  for the development of the State,” Kumar said.
