Chief Minister Harish Rawat has written to the Union Road Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari requesting that serious efforts be made to end the ongoing strike of transporters. According to the chief minister’s media in-charge Surendra Kumar, the CM has stated that due to the transporters’ strike, Uttarakhand- especially in mountainous areas is facing a shortage of cooking gas and other essential commodities. The industries are also facing a detrimental effect of the strike.
