Responding to BJP president Amit Shah’s statement that Uttarakhand is getting Rs 26000 crore per annum with the recommendation of 14th finance commission, CM Rawat said that Union Government is releasing fund under constitutional arrangement. Finance commission decides division of Central tax between the Union and State, he said, "With this State has lost Rs 200 crore. We have been receiving Rs 1700 crore less after 14th finance commission recommendation. Even union finance minister has realised this loss," said Rawat while also thanking the finance minister for resuming 90:10 ratio pattern inforeign aided projects. He appealed the State MPs to help him in getting released the state’s Rs 200 crore, which is remaining of Central assistance. He also alleged that under CSSR flood control projects were executed but state’s Rs 750 crore is still pending with Union Government which is also not releasing funds under SPA projects.
