CM shifts to official New Cantt Road residence

After ritual worship, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat shifted to the official residence of the Chief Minister on the New Cantt Road. The official residence of the CM has not been occupied full time for some years now due to a purported jinx attached to it about the occupant not completing his term in office while living here.  The chief minister also inspected his camp office on the occasion. In view of the shortage of water being experienced in the state, the chief minister ordered closure of the swimming pool set in the CM’s residence. The chief minister was accompanied by his wife Sunita Rawat, their daughters and other family members. Additionally, the Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ajay Bhatt, cabinet ministers Prakash Pant, Harak Singh Rawat, Madan Kaushik, Yashpal Arya, Satpal Maharaj, minister of state (independent charge) Dhan Singh Rawat, Mussoorie MlA Ganesh Joshi and the state chief secretary S Ramaswamy were also among those present on the occasion.
