The Chief Minister Harish Rawat met the Chief General Manager of NABARD, CP Mohan and asked him to cooperate with small markets along the Char Dham Yatra routes.  Along with this, schools, hospitals and Government buildings must be made; the State Government would provide land for it. NABARD must help to establish small industrial units. Business centre must be established for at least one thousand people, which can be recognized as a self-help group.  He invoked them to come ahead in construction work of bridges and roads with the Government.

The CM asserted that NABARD must be prepared an extensive plan on all these points and sent to the State Government.  He said that a high-level meeting would be arranged again with the NABARD in the second week of the month. The Government has launched several important schemes for the interest of the common people.

The participation of NABARD is very essential for it. He emphasised that NABARD must work as a partner and cooperate the Government in implementation of several schemes like ‘Mera Gaon, Meri Sadak’, ‘protection wall to reduce human-wildlife conflict’, ‘establishment of livestock farming college’, Chaal Khaal Yojna’ and expansion of infrastructure in rural area.

A solid plan must be prepared for it. The CM stated that a separate policy has been made for small power projects up to 2 MW and 25 MW. The NABARD’s Chief General Manager CP Mohan said that NABARD also wanted to become partner in development of Uttarakhand. NABARD will provide all possible help to the Government for this.
