Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the renovated Vikas Bhawan meeting hall in Pauri and then presided over a department-wise review of development works in the district.
He was informed that work on the Lwali lake will be completed by December.
Further, under the Jal Jeevan scheme, a daily target will be fixed and daily reviews will be held. Rawat said that a target of 3,000 connections per day will be kept under the scheme and that he will himself monitor the work.
Referring to traditional building styles, he said that 20 per cent of department constructions will consist of stones. This will provide work to those involved in this craft and also keep the art alive.
Rawat directed the district magistrate Dhiraaj Singh Garbyal to conduct an inspection to check whether doctors in the hospitals are working and staying at the place of their posting. State minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Pauri MLA Mukesh Koli and officials concerned were also present in the meeting.
