Saluja said that Uttarkhand has become one of the  few states where every department would be available on facebook thanks to the initiative of the CM. “This would make the officers to open their own facebook pages through which they would interact with the people directly,” Saluja said.

During  the workshop, the attendees  were told about how they would  upload their daily activity on the facebook pages so that  the people can get updates and can reap benefits too.

lauding the role of the social media, Saluja said  that it is helping those running the administration to be posted with the people’s grievances. “To make facebook more effective,  people should directly give their suggestions to the departments and subsequently, the Government would become more accountable to the people.

Facebook expanding its  reach fast  across the world, we can easily connect with the  people, particularly, the youth,” he added.
